Beta testing terms

Version 2026-10-19 · Dentiquip Rentals

Thank you for helping us test our software. These terms apply while a tool is in beta testing, together with that tool’s own terms of use. You accept them each time you start using a tool during the beta.

What beta testing means

The tool is still being developed. It may contain errors, give results that are not right, run slowly or stop working, and its features, appearance and results may change from one day to the next. We may add, change or remove features, or end the beta, at any time and without notice.

Who may take part

The beta is by invitation. You may use a tool if Dentiquip has invited you as a beta tester, or if you already have credits or a subscription for that tool. Your access is personal to you and your practice: do not share your login. We may end your access at any time.

Your responsibility for every result

The tools prepare models, pictures and files from your scans and photos; they do not diagnose, plan treatment or check anything clinically. During the beta especially, you check every result carefully before you use it, print it or share it, and you do not rely on a result you have not checked. Clinical decisions, treatment and their outcomes remain your responsibility as the practitioner.

Patient information

Your scans, photos and patients’ names stay on your computer: the tools work in your browser and do not upload them. You remain responsible for your patients’ personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), including any consent you need.

When you send us a message or a picture through Help us improve, do not include anything that identifies a patient (a name, a face, a case number or a file name that contains one). We use what you send only to fix and improve the software, and delete pictures as soon as your message has reached us.

Cost during the beta

Using a tool during the beta is free unless the tool says otherwise. We will tell you before any charge applies. Credits you already have are not used during the beta and stay for later. A subscription you already have for a tool is paused while that tool is free during the beta: no renewal is charged, and when the beta ends it resumes with its next payment moved on by the time it was paused.

Feedback

We welcome your reports and ideas. You agree that we may use them, without payment to you, to improve our software.

Confidentiality

Please do not publish or share screenshots or results of features that are still in beta testing, other than with your own practice, without our written consent.

Fair use

Do not copy, reverse-engineer or resell the software, use it for anything other than your own practice, or try to get around its limits or security.

Liability

The beta is provided free of charge, as it is, for you to try with your own professional judgement. To the extent the law allows:

  • we give no warranty that a tool will work, be available, or give a correct or complete result
  • we are not liable for treatment outcomes, or for any loss arising from a result used without checking it
  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, time or income

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that the law of South Africa does not permit us to exclude or limit.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms during the beta. The version you accept when you start using a tool applies to that use.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
