This policy explains what personal information Dentiquip Rentals collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It is written with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) in mind.

What we collect
When you register an account we ask for your full name, practice or clinic name, practice number, phone number and email address. We need these to confirm that you are a registered dental practice, which is a condition of buying from us.
When you place an order we collect your billing and delivery details and a record of what you bought. When you buy a Case Consultation, you send us clinical material about a case. When you use our contact form we collect your name, email address, any phone number you give, and your message.
Our web server and security tools also record technical information such as IP addresses, as part of running the site safely.
Clinical material you send us
Case photographs, radiographs and case descriptions may contain information about your patient. You remain responsible for your own obligations to your patient, including obtaining their consent before sending anything to us. Please remove patient-identifying details wherever the case can still be understood without them.
Why we use it
- To verify that an account belongs to a registered dental practice, and to decide whether to approve it
- To process, deliver and support your orders
- To provide the Case Consultation you have purchased
- To answer enquiries you send us
- To meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations
- To keep the website secure and prevent fraud
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We share information only with parties who help us run the business, and only as far as they need it:
- Paystack — to process payments. Card details are handled by Paystack, not by us.
- Our hosting provider — the site and its database run on their servers.
- The Courier Guy — to deliver physical orders.
- Professional advisers, and any authority we are legally obliged to disclose to.
Where it is kept, and for how long
Our website and database are hosted in South Africa. Some service providers may process information outside South Africa; where that happens we expect them to give your information a comparable level of protection.
Clinical case material is kept for 2 years from the date of the consultation, and is then deleted.
Account and order records are kept for as long as your account is active, and afterwards for as long as we are required to keep them for legal, tax and accounting purposes. Contact form messages are kept only as long as needed to deal with the enquiry.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, and withdraw consent where we relied on it. Contact us and we will respond.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za).
Cookies
This website uses cookies that are necessary for it to work — keeping you logged in, remembering your cart, and keeping the checkout secure. You can block cookies in your browser, but parts of the site will stop working if you do.
Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always the one published on this page.
