What’s new

New features in our software, newest first. Small fixes and cosmetic changes are not listed.

15 October 2026 · Photo Prep 1.1 (beta)

  • Photo Prep is now marked Beta: it is free during the testing phase. What it costs
  • After the beta, each patient’s download will use one Photo Prep credit, or be included in Photo Prep Unlimited. Nothing is charged during the beta.

14 October 2026 · Photo Prep 1.0 (in testing)

  • New tool: Photo Prep gets a patient’s clinical photos ready for your records program. Drop in the camera’s photos, type the patient’s name, check the ten pictures, and download them in one zip named after the patient. Step by step
  • It puts the photos in order, turns them upright, flips the occlusal photos back, levels the bites, occlusals and front faces, and crops each picture. You can change any picture before you download. Changing a picture
  • Each picture carries the patient’s name in small letters in the lower right corner, and in Chrome or Edge the zip is saved straight into the folder the photos came from.
  • Everything happens in your browser: the photos and the patient’s name never leave your computer.

14 October 2026 · Model Print 1.4 (in testing)

  • Before a download uses a credit, Model Print now asks you to confirm that you’ve checked the plate, so nothing is missed. Subscribers aren’t asked. What it costs
  • A file that holds both models saved in the bite now goes on the plate as two models, side by side.

14 October 2026 · Occlusal view 2.2

  • Occlusal view is open to every approved practice. The occlusal view stays free; the orthodontic picture set is one credit a case. What it costs
  • New: Credits and plans under Occlusal view shows your credits and lets you buy credit packs or Occlusal view Unlimited, a monthly subscription for every picture set, without leaving your scans.
  • Practices outside southern Africa and Kenya see International prices, in rand with today’s approximate dollar amount.
  • Before you unlock the picture set, you now see your own patient’s five views, marked as previews, instead of sample pictures. The picture set

14 October 2026 · Model Print 1.3 (in testing)

  • Model Print now turns models in 15° steps when they don’t all fit, so full arches lying flat can nest into each other without touching: two fit on a plate like the Asiga MAX UV’s. How it works

14 October 2026 · Model Print 1.2 (in testing)

  • You can now add finished models from other programs, such as aligner models exported by Medit. Model Print stands each one on its flat base with the front teeth to the front. Raw scans still go through Model Prep first. What it takes

13 October 2026 · Model Print 1.1 (in testing)

  • You can now lean the models back at any angle from flat to upright: set the Plate angle for the whole plate, or lean one model with Lean −5°, Lean +5° or by typing its Angle. Leaning fits more models on a plate. How it works
  • New: Front and Side views of the plate, with your printer’s height limit. Drag a model up or down in Side to lean it.
  • New: Edit in 3D. Click a model in the 3D Preview to select it, and look at the plate from the front, side or top.

13 October 2026 · Help section

13 October 2026 · Model Prep 1.6

  • New setting Articulator hinge: a snap joint at the back of both models, printed with them, so they clip together in the bite and open and close. How it works
  • You can now see the two models, or the two scans, together in the bite with the Both button.
  • Once models exist, changing a setting or the name prepares them again by itself.
  • Each word of the patient’s name starts with a capital.

13 October 2026 · Model Print 1.0.1 (in testing)

  • Fifteen printers, grouped by brand: Asiga, Formlabs, SprintRay, Phrozen, Elegoo, Anycubic, HeyGears and Ackuretta. Changing the printer checks every model again. Settings

13 October 2026 · Website

  • A new home page with all our software at a glance, and Log in in the menu.

12 October 2026 · Model Print 1.0 (in testing)

  • New tool: put your Model Prep models on your printer’s build plate, flat or upright, and download the whole plate as one STL file, with the resin cost and a waiting list for the next plate. How to use it

12 October 2026 · Model Prep 1.5

  • An easier trim line: add dots anywhere, move the cheek and tongue sides separately, and Redraw a stretch by clicking the spots the line should pass through. Adjusting the trim line
  • Every model gets a flat back, and the wall is 2.5 mm by default.
  • Your resin price is remembered on your account, and one upload box takes both scans.

12 October 2026 · Occlusal view 2.1 (in testing)

  • The patient’s name is written on every picture.
  • Study-model bases with a rounded curve (new setting Base curve), and the upper’s palate kept in the record views. Settings

12 October 2026 · Subscriptions

  • Monthly subscriptions, for unlimited use instead of credits. See the Pricing page.
  • Occlusal view’s orthodontic picture set unlocks with a credit per case, or with a subscription. The picture set

  • Click the trim line to add a dot; double-click an added dot to remove it.
